Samuel OdebamowoSamuel graduated as the best student from the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria in 2017 with a BSc in Zoology and Environmental Biology. During his undergrad, He interned with Professor A. A. Bakare at the Department of Zoology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, in 2016, where he learnt the rudiments of Genetic Toxicology and contributed to studies on the Genotoxicity of nanoparticles, pharmaceuticals and environmental pollutants. He also worked with Dr. F. O. Owagboriaye on the toxicity of glyphosate-based herbicides and the ameliorative effects of honey. Samuel is currently running his Master’s program at NYU, Department of Environmental Health Sciences and jointly works in Dr. Judith Zelikoff and Dr. Kamal Khanna’s labs where he is focused on investigating the pulmonary immunotoxicity of environmental toxicants and prenatal insults.
