Mimi KostoskaMimi was born in North Macedonia and moved to the US to pursue an undergraduate degree at Yale University. She graduated from Yale in 2021 with a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. Before, starting graduate school and joining the Khanna lab, she worked with Dr. David Schatz at Yale on RAG (recombination activating gene) protein complex and the evolution of the RAG recombinase as a domesticated transposon in jawed vertebrates in the context of the adaptive immune system.
Research Interest: Immunology, Microbiology, Host-Pathogen Interactions Fun Fact: In my free time, I watch a lot of tv shows and movies. I have a weird ability of memorizing actors’ and actresses’ names. I also do photography and painting and my favorite food in Nutella.
