Eric Bartnicki, MSDuring his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University, Eric began his scientific research career in the lab of Dr. Haidong Gu. There, he studied how Herpes Simplex Virus-1 is able to overcome cellular innate immune mechanisms to achieve infection. After graduating with his B.S. in Biology at Wayne State, he moved on to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. At UofM, Eric worked on optimizing an in-vitro culture system for human norovirus using B cells. He also began to characterize the role bile acids play in human norovirus infections, where upon writing and defending a thesis on the topic, Eric graduated with a M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology.
Research Interest: Tumor Immunology, Oncology, Virology, Oncolytic Virus, Innate Immunology, In-Vitro Systems, Microscopy, Tumor Immunotherapy Fun Fact: Eric has played ice hockey since he was seven years old. Here in New York, he plays one to two times a week still, and even played in a league stationed at Lasker arena in Central Park. Hometown: Warren, MI B.S. in Biology - Wayne State University - 2013 M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology - University of Michigan - 2017 |
